Rams Advance to Skyline Semifinals with Sweep of Old Westbury

#5 Farmingdale State - 3, #4 Old Westbury - 0 (28-26, 25-19, 25-15)


Old Westbury, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team defeated #4 Old Westbury in straight sets, 3-0, last night in Old Westbury, N.Y. The Rams advance to the Skyline Conference Semifinals on Saturday.

Farmingdale State (14-7) was led by senior outside Dominique Cunningham (Amityville, N.Y.) who had a game-high 13 kills. Junior outside Holly Sahner (Dix Hills, N.Y.) tallied 11 kills and five service aces, while freshman setter Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) had 30 assists and seven aces, both of which were game-highs. Senior libero Jessica Zimmermann (Seaford, N.Y.) had a team-leading seven digs for the Rams.

Senior outside Tynisha George (Medford, N.Y.) led the Panthers (19-15) with nine kills and eight digs. 

Farmingdale State will travel to Newburgh, N.Y. to face top-seeded Mount Saint Mary College in the Skyline Conference Semifinals on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00 a.m.
