Rams Fall at Home to NYU-Poly

NYU-Poly 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-19)


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team was defeated in three sets by Skyline Conference opponent NYU-Poly this evening in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams now hold a 13-5 overall record and are 5-2 in the Skyline, while the Fighting Blue Jays improved to 16-14 and 5-2 in conference play.

Farmingdale State was led by junior outside Holly Sahner (Dix Hills, N.Y.) who had 10 kills and 11 digs. Freshman setter Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) collected 20 assists, while senior libero Jessica Zimmermann (Seaford, N.Y.) recorded 10 digs and had three service aces.

NYU-Poly's junior setter Corey Loupee (Crown Point, Ind.) had 20 digs, 13 assists and six kills.

The Rams next will travel to Old Westbury for a Skyline Conference match on Wednesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m. Old Westbury will be hosting "Dig Pink" night which is a fundraiser benefiting breast cancer awareness.
