Palladino named Rookie of the Week, Sahner named to Honor Roll -
New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the second Women's Volleyball report for the 2011 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.
Freshman setter Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Palladino made an immediate impact for the Rams, leading them to a 2-1 week, averaging 6.7 assists, 1.9 aces and 1.7 digs per set. She tallied 33 assists and 10 digs against Old Westbury and had six or more aces in every game.
Junior outside hitter Holly Sahner (Dix Hills, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference Player of the Week Honor Roll. Sahner averaged 3.0 kills, 2.3 digs and 1.1 aces per set, with a .328 attacking pct.
