Mariners Sweep Rams in Non-Conference Match

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The U.S. Merchant Marine
Academy defeated the Rams in a non-conference women's volleyball
match tonight, 3-0. Farmingdale State fell behind 2-0 with 25-16
and 25-12 losses in the first two sets, but fought back in the
third, holding a 20-18 lead, before falling 25-23.
Senior Theresa Rokee (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) made 7 digs in defeat, while freshman libero Zaianna Ortiz (Copiague, N.Y./Copiague) had 6 digs.
The Rams will travel to the Hunter Invitational this Saturday, October 4th to face Hunter at 10:00 a.m. and Rutgers-Camden at Noon.
