Rams Finish 7-2 in Regular Season Conference Play

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team improved to 19-15, 7-2 in the Skyline with a 3-0 (30-16, 30-15, 30-17) victory over Purchase College and a 3-0 (30-15, 30-15, 30-12) victory over Maritime College on Saturday afternoon in a conference Play Day in Farmingdale, N.Y. Seniors Colleen Mackey (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun) and Amanda Sperling (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) played in their final regular season home games today and will play again at home in the Skyline Conference quarterfinals on Wednesday, October 31st.

In the Rams win over Purchase, Mackey finished with 15 assists and nine digs, while Sperling finished with nine kills and 14 digs. Sophomore outside hitter Amanda Sieber (Commack, N.Y./Commack) had a team-high five service aces.

Farmingdale defeated Maritime in game two, as junior middle blocker Cathryn McLean (Northport, N.Y./Northport) 16 kills. Freshman setter Jeanne Marie Weber (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) had 23 assists. Sieber tallied another five service aces to lead the team.

More information will follow on the Skyline Conference Tournament bracket…but game time for the Quarterfinals will be 7:00 p.m. on Halloween night.
