Patchogue, NY - Farmingdale volleyball won three non-conference matches this weekend at the Skyline/CUNY Challenge played on Saturday, October 21st at St. Joseph's College. The Rams defeated York, John Jay and City Tech to improve to 18-5 overall with three games remaining in regular season play.

Junior middle blocker Amanda Sperling (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) and sophomore middle blocker Cathryn McLean (Freeport, NY/Northport) combined for 25 kills to lead Farmingdale to a 3-0 victory against York College.

In match two against John Jay, the Rams won 30-0, 30-0 and 30-17 as senior setter Falon Taddeo (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) made 10 assists for the win.

The final match of the day was against City Tech and called for another 3-0 win for Farmingdale. McLean again led the team with 10 kills and senior setter Megan Cranmer (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) had 24 assists. Freshman outside hitter Amanda Sieber (Commack, NY/Commack) finished with a game-high 12 digs.

The Rams will face SUNY rival Old Westbury on Tuesday, October 24th in Old Westbury, NY at 7:00pm. The team will be participating in a Breast Cancer fundraiser by collecting donations at the door and wearing pink socks during the match.
