Farmingdale, NY - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team won their seventh game in a row, eleventh of the season, in a 3-0 victory over Staten Island tonight in Farmingdale, NY. The Rams (11-1) defeated the Dolphins by scores of 30-20, 30-15 and 30-22.

For Farmingdale State, senior setter Falon Taddeo (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) had 44 assists over the three games. Sophomore middle blocker Cathryn McLean (Freeport, NY/Northport) and senior outside hitter Gina Moscato (Hicksville, NY/Hicksville) each had 14 kills. Junior middle blocker Amanda Sperling (Masspequa, NY/Massapequa) finished with seven service aces, eight kills and three digs.

Staten Island freshman outside hitter Alba Basha (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) led both teams with 12 digs. Sophomore setter Jessica Gieibesland (Staten Island, NY/New Dorp) tallied eight assists and senior middle blocker Kellie Carnevale (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) finished with eight digs and two kills.

The Rams now travel to Newark, NJ on Saturday, September 30th for a Tri-match with Albright and Rutgers-Newark, starting at 10:00am.
