Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's and women's outdoor track teams opened the season at the St. Joseph's Invitational this weekend. The meet was orginally a two-day event with the first day of events held at St. Joe's, but day two at Farmingdale State was cancelled due to the weather. Poor weather conditions limited the competition and quality of performances.
Notable performances:
- 110m - James D'onofrio, 11.49, 4th place
- 400m - Ray Austin, 52.72, 4th place
- 110m High Hurdles - Jonathan Gortman, 15.94, 2nd place
- 110m High Hurdles - Donte McArthur, 16.15, 3rd place
- Long Jump - Alix Lamarre, 6.27m (20' 7"), 3rd place
- Long Jump - Daquan Grant, 6.20m (20' 4 1/4"), 5th place
- 1500m - Jacob Kashani, 4:35.15, 16th place
- 4X100m Relay - Jonathan Gortman, James D'onofrio, Joseph Papa, Ray Austin - 45.10, 4th place
- High Jump - Erin Donovan, 1.43m (4' 8 1/4'), 6th place, Moves to #7 on All-Time list
Next up the Rams will travel to the Roadrunner Invitational at Ramapo College on Friday, April 4th - Saturday, April 5th.
