Rams Win Sixth Straight Match With Shutout Against Brooklyn

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned their sixth straight win after defeating Brooklyn College 9-0 on Thursday. The Rams improved to 7-3 overall, while the Bulldogs dropped to 1-7 on the year.

In doubles, FSC's Anastasia Hoffman (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Lien Collings (Merrick, N.Y.) recorded an 8-3 victory in the first position, while Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) and Shari Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) notched an 8-2 win in the second slot. Mia Murrell (Shirley, N.Y.) and Katherine Del Valle (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) rounded out the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win in the #3 slot.

In singles play, Hoffman (8-1), Lettieri (8-1), Collings (8-1), Jackson (8-2), Murrell (8-7 (7-5)) and Susana Pariona (Farmingdale, N.Y.) (8-2) tallied victories in the first through sixth positions, respectively. 

The Rams next will travel to Mount Saint Mary for a Skyline Conference match on Saturday, October 9th at noon.
