Rams Defeat MSMC; Win Third Straight Match

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team won their third straight match after today's 6-3 home victory over Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary.

The Rams (3-1) earned points at first and second doubles. At #1 doubles, the FSC pairing of freshman Anastasia Hoffman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) and sophomore Shari Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) notched an 8-3 win, while sophomore Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) and freshman Stephanie Negrillo (West Islip, N.Y.) carded an 8-2 victory in the #2 slot.

Farmingdale State took 4-of-6 points in singles competition. Hoffman (6-0, 6-1), Lettieri (6-2, 6-2) and Negrillo (6-2, 6-3) earned victories in the first through third positions, respectively. At #6 singles, freshman Susana Pariona (Massapequa, N.Y.) notched a 6-4, 6-4 win for the Rams.

The FSC women's tennis team next will play host to Yeshiva in a Skyline Conference match on Monday, April 26th at 4:30 p.m.
