Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team hosted Manhattanville in a Skyline Conference match this afternoon and earned a 9-0 victory. The Rams improved to 12-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play as they won their 11th straight match.
In doubles competition, the FSC pairing of senior Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) and freshman Anastasia Hoffman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) recorded an 8-6 victory in the #1 position. At second doubles, sophomore's Nicole Tzanetos (Merrick, N.Y.) and Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) notched an 8-4 win, while sophomore Rosa Lettieri (Merrick, N.Y.) and junior Cameren Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) won 8-0 in the third slot.
In singles play, Reidy (3-6, 6-1, 1-0), Lettieri (6-1, 7-6), Hoffman (6-4, 6-4), Tzanetos (6-0, 6-0), Ferguson (6-1, 6-1) and Jackson (6-0, 6-0) all earned victories in the first through sixth positions, respectively, to cap off the shutout.
Farmingdale State next will host Sarah Lawrence in a Skyline Conference match on Tuesday, October 15th at 5:30 p.m.
