Farmingdale State Tallies Non-Conference Win Over Baruch

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team hosted non-conference opponent Baruch College on Friday afternoon and tallied a 7-2 victory.

The Rams (3-1) dropped the first doubles match 8-7 (8-6) but rebounded with wins in the second and third positions. At second doubles, FSC sophomore's Nicole Tzanetos (Merrick, N.Y.) and Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) recorded an 8-5 victory, while the pairing of junior Cameren Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) and sophomore Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) notched an 8-1 win in the third slot.

Farmingdale State earned 5-of-6 points in singles competition en route to the 7-2 win. Lettieri (6-2, 6-3), freshman Anastasia Hoffman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) (6-4, 4-6, 1-0), Tzanetos (6-1, 7-5), Ferguson (6-4, 6-3), and senior Julia Marino (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) (7-5, 6-4) each won in the second through sixth positions, respectively.

The FSC women's tennis team next will travel to Lehman for a non-conference match on Monday, September 16th at 4:00 p.m.
