FSC Earns Road Win at Brooklyn

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned a 7-2 non-conference road win at Brooklyn College on Monday afternoon. The Rams improved to 2-1 on the year, while the Bulldogs fell to 0-2.

FSC swept the doubles competition and recorded all three points. In the #1 slot, the pairing of freshman Anastasia Hoffman (North Massapequa, N.Y.) and senior Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) tallied an 8-0 shutout victory. At second doubles, sophomore's Nicole Tzanetos (Merrick, N.Y.) and Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) notched an 8-2 win, while sophomore Jessica Lopipero (Bethpage, N.Y.) and junior Cameren Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) also won by a score of 8-2 in the third position.

Brooklyn claimed the #1 and #2 singles matches before Tzanetos (6-0, 6-0), Ferguson (6-0, 6-0), C. Jackson (6-1, 6-2) and sophomore Shari Jackson (North Amityville, N.Y.) (6-1, 6-0) all earned victories in the third through sixth positions, respectively.

FSC next will travel to Baruch for a non-conference match at the Alley Pond Tennis Center on Thursday, September 12th at 3:30 p.m.
