Oneonta - 5, Farmingdale State - 4
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team played host to Oneonta this morning in their first home match of the season and fell, 5-4. The Rams are now 1-1 on the year, while the Red Dragons improved to 2-0.
Oneonta won the first and second doubles matches before Farmingdale State's Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) and Cameren Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) recorded an 8-1 victory in the third position.
In singles competition, freshman Anastasia Hoffman (North Massapequa, N.Y.), sophomore Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) and senior Julia Marino (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) tallied wins in the third, fifth and sixth slots, respectively.
FSC next will travel to Brooklyn College for a non-conference match on Monday, September 9th at 4:00 p.m.
