Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned an 8-1 home victory over Skyline Conference opponent Yeshiva University on Tuesday afternoon. Prior to the match, Celine Zollinger (Franklin Square, N.Y.) and Summer Baranello (Farmingdale, N.Y.) were honored for Senior Day.

The Rams cruised through doubles competition earning all three points. In the #1 position, junior Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) and freshman Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) recorded an 8-1 victory, while the freshmen pairing of Nicole Tzanetos (Merrick, N.Y.) and Nicole Ferguson (Shirley, N.Y.) notched an 8-2 win in the second slot. At third doubles, Zollinger and sophomore Cameren Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) carded an 8-0 shutout victory.

Farmingdale State won the second through sixth singles matches by scores of: Lettieri (#2 - 6-2, 6-4), Tzanetos (#3 - 6-1, 6-1), Zollinger (#4 - 6-1, 6-2), Ferguson (#5 - 6-2, 6-1) and junior Julia Marino (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) (#6 - 6-0, 6-0)

FSC closes out their regular season schedule on Saturday, October 13th when they travel to Purchase for a Skyline Conference match starting at 11:00 a.m.
