Rams Roll Past Berkeley (NY) in Non-Conference Match

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned a 9-0 non-conference victory over Berkeley (NY) this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. With the win, the Rams improved to 3-4 on the year, while Berkeley (NY) fell to 0-1.

In doubles competition, the FSC pair of Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) and Olivia Stauffer (Greenlawn, N.Y.) earned an 8-1 victory in the first position, while Celine Zollinger (Franklin Square, N.Y.) and Carolann La Monica (Islip, N.Y.) carded an 8-0 shutout win in the second slot. The Rams recorded a forfeit victory in third doubles for the sweep.

In singles, Reidy (6-0, 6-1), Julia Marino (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0), Cameren Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-0) and Jazmin Gracida (Queens, N.Y.) (6-1, 6-0) recorded victories in the first through fourth positions, respectively. Farmingdale State won the fifth and sixth singles matches by forfeit.

The Rams will host Oneonta in a non-conference match tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.
