Women's Tennis Advances to Skyline Finals

#1 Farmingdale State - 5, #4 Sage - 0


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The top-seeded Farmingdale State women's tennis team defeated #4 Sage, 5-0, in the Skyline Conference Semifinals this afternoon. The Rams will now host #3 St. Joseph's-LI in the Finals on Sunday.

FSC (13-4) recorded all three points in doubles competition after being led by senior Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) and junior Qurat-ul-ain Rai (Lahore, Pakistan) who tallied an 8-5 win in the #1 position. At second doubles, seniors Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) and Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) carded an 8-1 win, while the pair of freshman Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) and junior Olivia Stauffer (Huntington, N.Y.) earned an 8-2 victory in the third position.

In singles play, Fredericks (6-0, 6-2) and Reidy (6-2, 6-2) won their matches to seal the victory for Farmingdale State.

Prior to today's match, Signore, Rosamilia and Fredericks were each honored for Senior Day.

The Rams will host #3 St. Joe's-LI on Sunday, October 30th in the Skyline Conference Finals at 11:00 a.m.
