NEW YORK, N.Y. - The four-team field is set for the 2016 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship, and in a year that saw a three-way tie atop the standings, three-time defending champion Farmingdale State College (12-4, 6-1 Skyline) emerged as the top seed through the conference's tiebreaker procedures.
Head coach Adam Waterhouse's Rams, who have run off six consecutive victories at press time, will play host to the fourth-seeded Gators of The Sage Colleges (7-5, 4-3), in semifinal action on Friday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.
In the other Oct. 28 semifinal, second-seeded Yeshiva University (9-1, 6-1) will welcome No. 3 seed St. Joseph's College-Long Island (9-3, 6-1) to Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, NJ, for a 10 a.m. start.
The championship final will be contested at the highest-remaining seed on Sunday, Oct. 30, with the winner earning the Skyline's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.
Farmingdale State has five student-athletes that have registered double-digit win totals in singles play this fall, including senior Priscilla Signore's (the 2015 Skyline Conference Championship's Most Outstanding Player) 10-5 mark at the No. 1 flight and Kayla Reidy's 13-3 ledger in the middle of the lineup.
Head coach Naomi Kaszovitz's Yeshiva side received a 7-1 mark at No. 1 singles from 2015 Skyline Conference Player of the Year, Shani Hava, in addition to a 9-1 mark in the middle of the lineup from newcomer Rebecca Packer.
The 2/3 semifinal contest will be a rematch of the teams' Sept. 28 regular-season contest in Patchogue, NY, where head coach Glenn Nathan's St. Joseph's-Long Island side bested YU by a 5-4 count. Kerri McMahon has been consistent for the Golden Eagles throughout her rookie campaign, registering an 11-1 mark in the middle of the singles lineup (8-1 at No. 3 flight), and a 10-2 slate in doubles action, along with partner Amanda Post.

Shanice Mendoza has a 9-3 singles record (8-2 at No. 6), while Sammantha Montague and Melissa Estremera have idential 7-4 marks at the Nos. 1 and 2 flights, respectively.
