Rams Defeat Baruch; Win Sixth Straight Match

Flushing Meadows, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team defeated Baruch in a non-conference match on Tuesday as they recorded their sixth straight victory. The Rams improved to 12-4 on the year, while the Bearcats dropped to 8-3.

Farmingdale State won 2-of-3 doubles matches over Baruch. In the first position, FSC's Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Qurat-ul-ain Rai (Lahore, Pakistan) earned an 8-5 victory, while the pairing of Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) carded an 8-3 win at second doubles.

In singles competition, Rosamilia (6-0, 6-1) and Fredericks (6-1, 6-1) won in the first and third positions, respectively. At fourth singles, freshman Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) earned a 6-0, 6-1 win and both junior Olivia Stauffer (Huntington, N.Y.) and Celine Zollinger (Franklin Square, N.Y.) rounded out singles play with victories for Farmingdale State.

The Rams next will close out the regular season with a home non-conference match versus Staten Island on Friday, October 21st at 4:30 p.m.
