Rams Close Conference Play with Win Over MSMC

Farmingdale State - 8, Mount Saint Mary - 1


Farmingdale, N.Y. - In their final Skyline Conference match of the regular season, the Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned an 8-1 home victory over Mount Saint Mary on Friday. The Rams improved to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the Skyline, while the Knights dropped to 5-9, 2-4.

FSC earned 2-of-3 points in doubles competition as the pairing of seniors Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) and Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) recorded an 8-1 win in the second position and freshman Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y) along with junior Olivia Stauffer (Huntington, N.Y.) earned an 8-5 victory in the #3 slot.

The Rams swept all six singles matches: Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) (5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6)), Rosamilia (6-2, 6-1), Qurat-ul-ain Rai (Lahore, Pakistan) (6-0, 6-1), Fredericks (6-2, 6-2), Reidy (6-4, 6-3) and Celine Zollinger (Franklin Square, N.Y.) (6-0, 6-2).

The FSC women's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, October 18th with a non-conference match versus Baruch (3:30 p.m.) at the USTA Center.
