Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team improved to 4-1 in Skyline play with an 8-1 victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn today. The Rams now hold an 8-4 record overall, while the Bears hold a record of 1-9, 0-5.
After sweeping the doubles matches 8-1, 8-1 and 8-3, Farmingdale State won five of six singles matches to cruise to the win. Senior Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.), junior Qurat-ul-ain Rai (Lehore, Pakistan), freshman Kayla Reidy (Sayville, N.Y.) and junior Olivia Stauffer (Huntington, N.Y.) all posted 6-0, 6-0 shutouts in their singles matches.
Farmingdale State will now travel to face Sarah Lawrence on Saturday, October 8 for a Skyline match at 12:00 p.m.
