Plattsburgh State - 7, Farmingdale State - 2
Plattsburgh, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team opened the season at Plattsburgh State today, but fell 7-2 in the non-conference match. The Rams now stand at 0-1 overall.
Farmingdale State trailed 2-1 after double play and would see a 6-4, 6-2 win at #1 singles by senior Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.). Senior Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) lost a very close tiebreaker match, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4), in the #2 spot.
The Rams will now host two matches on Sunday, September 4th. They first face Ohio Northern at 10:00 a.m. and then UMass-Boston at 1:00 p.m.
