Rams Improve to 7-2 over the Weekend

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team picked up two wins this weekend, including an 8-1 win over conference opponent Sarah Lawrence on Saturday and a 6-3 win over Oneonta State, to improve to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in Skyline play.

Against Sarah Lawrence, Farmingdale led 2-1 after doubles and swept the singles matches for the 8-1 victory.

After a long trip up to Oneonta on Sunday morning, the Rams trailed 2-1 after the doubles matches but fought back to win singles matches 1-5 to grab the 6-3 non-conference win. Junior Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) grabbed a three-set win at 2nd singles, while senior Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) won a tiebreaker match against Oneonta's Samantha Butcher, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6).
