Rams Defeat Brooklyn; Earn Fourth Straight Victory

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team picked up their fourth straight win after recording a 6-3 victory at Brooklyn College on Sunday afternoon. Farmingdale State now stands at 4-1 on the season.

In doubles competition, the Rams earned two points as junior Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) paired with senior Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) for an 8-3 win in the #2 slot and sophomore Madison Schrader (East Islip, N.Y.) and freshman Carolann La Monica (Islip, N.Y.) won 8-0 in the third position.

At second singles, junior Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) carded a 6-0, 6-3 victory, while Liguori (6-0, 6-0), Schrader (6-0, 6-3) and La Monica (6-0, 6-3) all tallied wins for Farmingdale State.

FSC next will travel to Staten Island for a non-conference match on Wednesday, September 16th at 4:30 p.m.
