Farmingdale State - 5, Pratt Institute - 4
Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned a 5-4 non-conference victory at Pratt this afternoon in their first match of the spring season.
In doubles competition, sophomore Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) paired with junior Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) for a 9-7 victory in the #2 position. The Rams (14-1) earned their second point in doubles as Pratt did not have enough players to fill the #3 slot.
Farmingdale State earned three points in singles play. Sophomore Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) carded a 6-3, 1-6, 10-5 win in the third position, while Liguori earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles. FSC again earned a point for sixth singles as Pratt did not have a player to compete.
The Rams next will travel to Brooklyn on Friday, April 17th at 4:30 p.m.
