Four Rams Named All-Conference; Sickles Tabbed Player of the Year

New York, N.Y. - In voting conducted by the conference's seven head coaches, Farmingdale State had four players named All-Skyline for women's tennis. Senior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was named Player of the Year, while senior Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) were named to the First Team and sophomore Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) earned Second Team honors.

A three-time Player of the Week selection this season, Sickles owns an 11-2 record at the #1 singles position and did not lose a game in four of her 11 victories. Sickles holds a 39-16 career record at first singles. She is a four-time All-Conference first-team honoree and also garnered Skyline Player of the Year distinction in 2011.

Bentz posted a team-high 13 victories this season at the #3 singles position. She paired with Sickles and the two recorded a 9-3 record (5-0 conference) at first singles.

Signore, who was the #2 singles player for Farmingdale State, held an 11-1 record this year. She was 11-3 in doubles playing a majority of the season in the second position.

Fredericks posted a 12-1 singles record, including 6-0 in Skyline Conference matches. She recorded a 12-2 mark in doubles this season.
