Rams Clinch First Place with Win over SJC

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team clinched first place for the upcoming Skyline Playoffs with a 9-0 win over St. Joe's on Friday night. The Rams will host either Purchase or Sage in the conference semifinals on Wednesday afternoon, October 22nd, at 4:30 p.m.

In doubles play, Farmingdale took a 3-0 lead with wins of 8-1, 8-0 and 8-1. They cruised through the singles matches to complete the shutout, improve to 11-1 overall and remain undefeated in Skyline play at 6-0. St. Joe's fell to 7-3, 4-1 with the loss.

The Rams now have home court advantage for the Skyline Tournament, against the #4 seed on Wednesday afternoon. The winner advances to the Skyline Championship match on Saturday, October 25th, to be played at the highest remaining seed.
