Farmingdale State - 5, Oneonta State - 4
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team fell behind 3-0 after doubles, but won 5-of-6 singles matches to take a 5-4 non-conference victory over Oneonta on Saturday afternoon.
Oneonta (2-5) swept the doubles matches, 8-4, 9-7 and 8-3 for a commanding advantage heading into singles play. The Rams (4-1) then saw wins at 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th singles. The game-winning match was sophomore Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) with a three-set victory over freshman Keri Picciochi (Flushing, N.Y.) to give the Rams the 5-4 win.
Farmingdale State will now host Yeshiva University on Sunday, September 21st at 1:00 p.m.
