Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team captured their first-ever Skyline Conference Championship this season. The Rams were the top seed for the playoffs and defeated Mount Saint Mary in the semifinals and Purchase in the finals to claim the title and earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

Farmingdale State posted a 12-2 record, including 5-0 in Skyline play this season.

Junior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) were named First Team All-Conference, while freshman Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) earned Second Team honors.

Sickles was 7-5 in first singles and paired with Signore and the two recorded a 9-4 record in first doubles. Signore, the #2 singles player for the Rams, was 11-2 on the year. Fredericks was 7-5 in third singles, while freshman Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) posted a 10-2 mark splitting time between fourth and fifth singles.

Junior Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was a perfect 5-0 (4-0 SKY) at fourth singles and sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) was 9-3 in singles play.

The Rams return their entire roster next season.
