#1 Farmingdale State - 5, #4 Mount Saint Mary College - 0
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team shutout Mount Saint Mary College, 5-0, this afternoon in the Skyline Conference Semifinals. The Rams clinched a berth into the Skyline Finals for the second consecutive season.
In first doubles, junior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) paired for an 8-4 victory. Freshman Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and junior Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) carded an 8-2 win in the second slot, while freshman Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) and sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) earned an 8-0 shutout win as the Rams won all three doubles matches.
The Rams (11-2) earned two points in singles play as Signore (6-0, 6-0) and Liguori (6-0, 6-0) both won their matches.
Farmingdale State will host the Skyline Conference Finals on Saturday, October 26th with the winner receiving the conference's automatic bid the the NCAA Tournament.
