Farmingdale State - 8, Purchase College - 1
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team clinched first place for the upcoming Skyline Conference Playoffs with an 8-1 victory over Purchase College on Saturday afternoon. The Rams now stand at 10-2 overall, 5-0 in the conference, while the Panthers dropped to 6-2, 3-1.
Farmingdale State first swept the doubles matches with wins of 8-0, 8-3 and 8-4 to take a 3-0 lead. In singles action, the Rams fell in only one match to secure the first-ever #1 seed for the women's tennis program.

Last season, FSC won their first-ever playoff match to advance to the Finals. The Rams now have a chance to win a first-ever Skyline Conference Championship on their home court, as they host the Semifinals on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd. With a win they would host the Championship match on Saturday, October 26th.
