Farmingdale State - 7, St. Joseph's - 2
Patchogue, N.Y. - The Rams won their fifth consecutive match after defeating St. Joseph's, 7-2, yesterday in Patchogue, N.Y. Farmingdale State improved to a perfect 4-0 in the Skyline Conference and 9-2 overall this year.
The Rams swept the doubles competition for the fourth straight time.
In singles action, junior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the first position. Junior Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) won 6-1, 6-1 in the fourth slot, while freshman Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory in fifth singles. In the sixth position, sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) tallied a 6-0, 6-1 win for Farmingdale State.
The Rams next will host Purchase in a conference match on Saturday, October 19th at noon.
