Edgewater, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team earned a 9-0 shutout victory at Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening. The Rams improved to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in conference action, while the Maccabees fell to 3-4, 0-4.
In first doubles, junior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) paired with freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) and the two recorded an 8-3 victory. In the second position, freshman Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and junior Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) earned an 8-2 win, while sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) and freshman Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) notched an 8-0 victory in the third slot.
The six doubles competitors for Farmingdale State all won their singles matches in straight sets.
The Rams next will host Brooklyn in a non-conference match on Thursday, October 17th at 4:30 p.m.
