Farmingdale State - 6, SUNY Oneonta - 3
Oneonta, N.Y. - In their last non-conference match before re-entering Skyline Conference play, the Farmingdale State women's tennis team defeated SUNY Oneonta, 6-3. The Rams improved to 5-2 on the year, while the Red Dragons fell to 6-3.
In first doubles, junior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) earned an 8-5 victory, while freshman Michelle Fredericks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and junior Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) recorded an 8-4 win in the second position.
In singles competition, Sickles (6-3, 6-0), Signore (6-3, 6-0), Bentz (6-2, 6-1) and sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) (2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10-5) all earned wins for Farmingdale State.
The Rams next will host NYU-Poly on Wednesday, October 2nd at 4:00 p.m.
