Staten Island - 5, Farmingdale State - 4
Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team dropped a close match to the College of Staten Island, 5-4, on Wednesday afternoon. The Rams fell to 1-1 overall with the loss.
The Rams were up 2-1 after doubles play, but the Dolphins came back to post 4-of-6 wins to take the victory.
Junior Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and freshman Priscilla Signore (Staten Island, N.Y.) won 8-2 at 1st doubles, while also winning their respective singles matches at #1 and #2 singles. Sophomore Denise Liguori (Massapequa, N.Y.) and freshman Diana Selover (Oceanside, N.Y.) recorded an 8-4 victory at 3rd doubles.
Farmingdale State will now host Baruch on Friday, September 13 at 4:30 p.m.
