Farmingdale State - 8, Yeshiva - 1
Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team picked up their first conference win of the season on Tuesday night, defeating Yeshiva University 8-1. The Rams are now 1-1 overall, 1-0 in the Skyline, while the Maccabees drop to 1-2 overall, 1-2 in conference play.
Sophomore Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) blanked Shara Feltheimer at 1st singles, 6-0, 6-0 and teamed with sophomore Alex Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) at 1st doubles for an 8-1 win.
Senior Laura Earlie (Moriches, N.Y.) and freshman Denise Liguori (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) remained undefeated at 2nd doubles with an 8-0 victory.
Farmingdale State will host Baruch College on Friday, September 14th at 4:30 p.m.
