Farmingdale State - 8, Yeshiva University - 1
Edgewater, N.J. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team improved to 3-0 overall with an 8-1 victory over Skyline Conference opponent Yeshiva University (1-2) on Wednesday night at the Binghamton Racquet Club. Rams freshman Jessica Sickles (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was a perfect 2-0 at 1st singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win and at 1st doubles with junior teammate Kristina Rossano (Franklin Square, N.Y.).
Rossano also won at third singles over Yeshiva's Jenny Goldstein (6-1, 6-3). Also undefeated for the night were: freshman Alexandra Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) at 2nd singles and 2nd doubles, freshman Liliya Dyakiv (Shirley, N.Y.) at 4th singles and 2nd doubles and junior Laura Earlie (Moriches, N.Y.) at fifth singles and third doubles.
Farmingdale State will now host two home matches on Saturday, September 17 vs. Baruch at Noon and Tuesday, September 20 against CCNY at 4:00 p.m.
