- Alexandra Bentz Named Rookie of the Week -
New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the first Women's Tennis report for the 2011 season this afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.
Freshman Alexandra Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week for women's tennis. She was stellar in her collegiate debut, going 2-0 in an 8-1 win over UMass Boston. Bentz rolled in her singles match, losing only one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 win. In doubles, Alexandra was paired with freshman Liliya Dyakiv (Shirley, N.Y.) and the team earned an 8-1 victory.
