Rams Snap Two Match Losing Streak

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team snapped a two match losing streak by posting an 8-1 victory over Mount Saint Vincent (on Wednesday afternoon.
Farmingdale's 1st doubles team of senior Oshea Davis (Hempstead, N.Y./Freeport) and senior Kate McEntee (Greenwich, Conn./Pomfret) remained undefeated, while at 3rd singles junior Jessica Gentile (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. Anthony's) also kept her undefeated streak alive.
The doubles competition was controlled by Farmingdale as they took a 3-0 lead with wins from Davis/McEntee, J. Gentile/Regina Cane (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst), and Stephanie Gentile (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. Anthony's)/Laura Earlie (Moriches, N.Y./William Floyd).
The singles matches were won 5-1 with victories from Davis, McEntee, Gentile, Earlie and Vanessa Josma (Massapequa, N.Y./Amityville).
Farmingdale State is now 4-2 overall, 2-2 in the conference. The Rams will now travel to face Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. on Saturday, October 3rd for a Skyline match at Noon.
