Staten Island, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team improved to 3-0 with a victory over Staten Island on Thursday afternoon at the CSI Tennis Center in Staten Island, N.Y. The Rams won two singles matches and one doubles match and received the two other points by default for the 5-4 win.

Senior's Oshea Davis (Hempstead, N.Y./Freeport) and Kate McEntee (Greenwich, Conn./Pomfret) were undefeated for the day, posting an 8-1 win at first doubles. Davis then added a 6-0, 6-2 win over Gabriella Villarruel at first singles, while McEntee won 6-1, 6-1 over Taylor Moran at second singles.

By default, the Rams won at sixth singles and third doubles for lack of a player by Staten Island, giving the Rams the 5-4 advantage and another win on the season.

Farmingdale travels to Sage for a Skyline Conference match on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 p.m., before coming home for a four-game homestand over the next two weeks. Come check out the Rams new tennis courts!
