Skyline Releases Women's Tennis Report #2
- Cane and McEntee named to Honor Roll -
Clifton Park, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference
released the second Women's Tennis report for the 2009 season this
afternoon, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor
Roll and Conference statistics.
Freshman Regina Cane (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) and senior
Kate McEntee (Greenwich, Conn./Pomfret) were both named to the
Player of the Week Honor Roll.
Cane is now 1-1 this season after posting a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score against John Jay’s Wilesca Belhomme at 3rd singles. She also teamed up with Laura Earlie for an 8-0 shutout at 2nd doubles in the Rams 9-0 shutout victory on Saturday afternoon.
McEntee added two more wins to her season tally on Saturday against John Jay. Playing at 1st singles and doubles this weekend, she teamed with Jessica Gentile in doubles play for an 8-0 shutout, then defeated John Jay’s Ashley Marrero 6-0, 6-1 in singles competition as the Rams won easily 9-0.
