NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference's nine head women's lacrosse coaches have cast their ballots for the 2023 All-Conference Team and Farmingdale State has three honorees.
Senior attack Athena Vogiatzis (Holtsville, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Megan Diamond (Dix Hills, N.Y.) were both named First Team All-Conference, while senior defender Celina Schenk (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) earned a spot on the Second Team.
Vogiatzis, now a three-time All-Conference selection, started all 18 games and led the team with 43 goals, a mark that ranked sixth in the Skyline. She scored 3+ goals on nine occasions and finished second on the team for points (45). Vogiatzis recorded 117 goals in her career and ranks eighth in program history.
Diamond started 15 games and led the Rams with 46 points on 22 goals and 24 assists. She ranked sixth in the Conference for assists and ninth for assists per game (1.6). Megan was also eighth in the conference for draw controls (59) and draw controls per game (3.9). She recorded both her 100th point and 100th draw control this season, becoming just the fifth player in program history to do so.
Schenk started all 18 games on defense and posted career-bests with 27 caused turnovers and 28 ground balls to lead FSC. She ranked seventh in the Skyline for CT's and 12th in CT's per game (1.5). Schenk tallied 2+ CT's on seven occasions and recorded 5 CT's twice.
