COMPLETE ITA DIVISION III WOMEN'S ACADEMIC AWARDS RELEASE


TEMPE, Ariz. | The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2023 Division III men's and women's academic awards this week, and a combined 13 student-athletes from the Farmingdale State College men's and women's tennis programs were recognized for their performance in the classroom. Six women's players from head coach Adam Waterhouse's Skyline Conference championship team collected ITA Scholar-Athlete kudos, while seven players from the conference-title men's side earned ITA Scholar-Athlete praise buoyed Waterhouse's Rams to earn an ITA Men's All-Academic Team citation, as well.

Student-athletes must register at least a 3.5 grade-point average (4.0 scale) during the current academic year in order to be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades. FSC's men's side earned an All-Academic Team award from the association by holding a combined 3.2-plus GPA during the 2022-23 slate.

A total of 1,204 student-athletes and 160 programs collected Scholar-Athlete and All-Academic Team distinction on the women's side, respectively, while 1,012 men's student-athletes and 125 teams collected the same distinction.
