Men's Tennis Earns 9-0 Victory Over Mount Saint Mary

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The FSC men's tennis team shut out Skyline Conference opponent Mount Saint Mary, 9-0, this afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams did not lose a single point in the match and improved to 5-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Farmingdale State won all three doubles matches 8-0 as the #1 pairing of sophomore Alan Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) and senior Cooper Everett (Long Beach, N.Y.) defeated MSMC's (0-5) Jacques Stanley and John Del Benne.

FSC's second pairing of senior Mario Contreras (Southold, N.Y.) and Jake Mosia (Massapequa, N.Y.) and #3 pairing of junior Michael Baranowski (South Huntington, N.Y.) and freshman Edward Kemp (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) cruised to 8-0 victories.

In singles, the Rams took each match by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Freshman Vincent Manzi (Massapequa, N.Y.), freshman Dylan Poblete-Infante (East Northport, N.Y.), senior Matthew Olkhovetsky (Great Neck, N.Y.), senior Michael Josefak (Oakdale, N.Y.), sophomore John Centeno (Mastic, N.Y.) and freshman Matthew Murrell (Shirley, N.Y.) won in the first through sixth slots, respectively, to clinch the 9-0 Skyline victory.

The men's tennis team next will travel to the USTA Center to play non-conference opponent Hunter College tomorrow, Thursday, April 21st at 4:00 p.m.
