Teaneck, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team opened the fall season with a non-conference match at FDU-Florham this afternoon and fell, 6-3.
FSC (0-1) earned one point in doubles competition as the pairing of Mark Baker (North Baldwin, N.Y.) and Sean Cohen (Plainview, N.Y.) recorded an 8-4 victory over FDU's Joni Carasso (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Zach Puccia (Red Bank, N.J.) in the #1 position.
In singles play, the Rams won the #1 and #2 matches. In the first slot, Baker carded a 6-1, 6-3 victory, while Alan Sabovic (Bohemia, N.Y.) tallied a 6-3, 6-4 win in the second position.
The Rams next will host Adelphi on Monday, September 27th at 4:00 p.m.
