Rams Fall to FDU-Florham in First Fall Match

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team hosted non-conference opponent FDU-Florham in their first match of the fall on Tuesday and were defeated, 9-0.

At first doubles, FSC's (0-1) Steven Gaudio (Miller Place, N.Y.) and Colby Rodriguez (Huntington Station, N.Y.) fell, 8-7 (7-3), to Rich Bennett (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) and Jacob Mostoller (Mullica Hill, N.J.). In the second position, FDU-Florham's (1-0) Chris Fiorenza (Phillipsburg, N.J.) and Zach Puccia (Red Bank, N.Y.) earned an 8-1 victory over Cooper Everett (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Matthew Ramsay (Bay Shore, N.Y.), while the pairing of Jonathan Carasso (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and JT Murray (Bayville, N.J.) won, 8-4, over Farmingdale State's Michael Iorio (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Mario Contreras (Southold, N.Y.) in the third slot.

The Rams dropped each of the singles matches in straight sets.

FSC next will host Manhattanville in a non-conference match on Saturday, October 12th at noon.
