Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team opened their Fall season this afternoon against Drew University and fell, 7-2.
The Rangers (1-0) were able to capture two-out-of-three points in a closely contested doubles competition. Junior Zachary Baker (Carmel, N.Y.) and senior Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) earned the Rams' only point in the #1 spot, 9-7, over Drew junior's Vineet Vemulapally (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Will Morrison (San Diego, Cal.).
Farmingdale State (0-1) also recorded one point in singles play as Baker earned his second win of the match, 6-3, 6-1, over Morrison.
FSC next travels to FDU-Florham for a non-conference match on Saturday, October 7th at 10:00 a.m.
