Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team dropped a conference match to unbeaten Yeshiva, 8-1, on Wednesday afternoon. The Maccabees improved to 7-0 in Skyline play (12-1 overall), while the Rams fell to 2-3 in the conference (6-8 overall).
In doubles action, sophomores Zachary Baker (Carmel, N.Y.) and Bradley Maslak (Middle Island, N.Y.) won 8-6 over Yeshiva's Adam Rosemblaum (Herzliya, Israel) and Lior Brik (Zichron Yaakov, Israel). Yeshiva took the 2nd and 3rd doubles matches to hold a 2-1 lead going into singles play.
Baker lost a close match at 1st singles to David Papis Elon (Herzliya, Israel), falling 6-2, 6-4, and the Maccabees also won singles 2-6 en route to the 8-1 victory.
Farmingdale State has three regular-season games remaining and will next host St. Joseph's-L.I on Friday, April 28th at 4:00 p.m.
