Flushing, N.Y. - In a non-conference men's tennis match on Thursday, Hunter College edged Farmingdale State, 5-4. The Rams are now 6-7 on the season, while the Hawks improved to 6-6.
In doubles play, FSC earned one point as sophomore James Roth (Massapequa, N.Y.) and freshman Stephano Dasaro (Glen Cove, N.Y.) carded an 8-3 victory in the #3 position.
In singles, sophomore Zachary Baker (Carmel, N.Y.) won by forfeit in the #1 slot, while Roth (6-3, 3-6, 11-9) and Dasaro (6-1, 6-0) earned victories in the fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
Farmingdale State next will travel to Mount Saint Mary for a Skyline Conference match on Saturday, April 22nd at noon.
