Edgewater, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's tennis team traveled to the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater N.J. for a Skyline Conference match versus Yeshiva on Wednesday night. The Rams fell, 7-2, to the defending Skyline Champion Maccabees.
Yeshiva (13-4, 6-0) earned all three points in doubles competition. Yeshiva's David Papis Elon (Herzliya, Israel) and Mikey Ozery (Plantation, Fla.) defeated FSC's Andy Bentz (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and Daniel Kafka (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) 8-4 in the #1 position. At second doubles, Kevin Palacios (Glen Cove, N.Y.) and Dan Baruch (East Meadow, N.Y.) lost 8-0, while the pair of Marvin Beaubrun (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Joseph Drago (Bronx, N.Y.) fell, 8-5, at third doubles.
The Rams (7-3, 3-1) recorded two points in singles play as Beaubrun (#5 position) earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory and Drago (#6 position) won 6-0, 6-4.
The FSC men's tennis team will now host Purchase in a conference match on Saturday, April 16th at noon.
